Arrests and Summonses: October 31-November 6

On Sunday, October 31, there were no arrests or summonses. Among the calls handled by Sanford Police that day were three animal complaints, on School St., Main St., and Railroad Ave.; a report of harassment on Thompson St. and a domestic disturbance on Bodwell St.

Monday, November 1 was a very busy day and night for the Department. A 31-year-old Sanford resident was summonsed for unlawful possession of fentanyl, theft by receiving stolen property and violating condition of release following a report of a drug incident on St. Ignatius St. A call to Brook St. resulted in a 24-year-old Alfred resident being arrested on a charge of violating a protection from abuse order.

At 6:25 that evening, multiple officers responded to an outdoor disturbance on River St., involving several individuals embroiled in an argument. A total of seven officers were dispatched to the scene, as well as Fire and EMS personnel. The midnight shift was brought in to cover, as all available officers were at the scene of the disturbance, and it took several hours to resolve and process. Three people were arrested. A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct, assault and criminal mischief. A 47-year-old Sanford resident was charged with violating condition of release and three counts of aggravated assault. A 38-year-old Sanford resident was charged with assault and violating condition of release.

On Tuesday, November 2, there were no arrests or summonses. Five animal complaints were among the calls reported that day.

Wednesday, November 3, there were also no arrests or summonses. Among the calls that day were domestic disturbances on Jackson St. and Plaza Dr., a report of a stolen vehicle on Main St., a drug incident on Island Ave. A burglar alarm on Main St. was investigated.

On Thursday, November 4, Sanford Police assisting another agency on Main St. took a 26-year-old Alfred resident into custody for violating condition of release.

Friday, November 5, a motor vehicle accident on High St. resulted in a 33-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed for failure to register a vehicle more than 150 days.

On Saturday, November 6, there were no arrests or summonses. Officers responded to reports of sex offenses on Bowdoin Ct. and Pioneer Ave.
