City of Sanford
A Façade Grant is being offered by the City of Sanford to owners or tenants of commercial properties on Main Street, between Lebanon Street and Roberts Street. This is an incentive to improve the outside appearance of the downtown. The buildings must include a commercial space on the first floor. The maximum grant awarded is $25,000. A 25% minimum private investment match is required. This is a federally funded program through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Deadline for applications is January 31, 2023, 4 pm. Application may be mailed or dropped off to the Sanford Regional Economic Growth Council, 917 Main St, Sanford, Maine 04073.
