This Weekend: August 8-9, 2020

A Motorcycle Run to benefit Eastside Youth will depart from the Wolves Club, 40 High St., on Saturday, August 8. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and kickstands up at 10 a.m. There will be a BBQ, 50/50 raffles, a door prize donated by Harley Davidson of Rochester, NH, and live music by Fireball. Full details here. The rain date is Sunday, August 9.
The Sanford Farmer’s Market is in full swing and will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday in Central Park. Fruit of the Forest Mushroom Farm from Gorham, Kelly Orchards from Acton, and Annette’s Gardens from Springvale are just a few of the regular vendors you will find there.
The best way to stay safe this summer is to have your fun outside. We’re fortunate to have one of the best trail systems in Maine right here in our community. The Sanford Trails are free and always open. There are trails for all abilities, and some are open to ATVs. Get trail maps and more info here or connect with Sanford Trails on Facebook for any questions.
Feel like doing some swinging this weekend? Mountain View’s driving range, mini golf and batting cages are all open! Visit their website for more info. You can play mini golf at Shaw’s Ridge Farm too, before or after your BBQ and ice cream! All the details are on their website. If you enjoy golf among the trees, the Pine Hollow Little Par 3 golf course is the place to visit. They have camp wood for sale, too. Check out their website here.
