Seacoast Warhawks complete undefeated regular season, playoffs up next
The Seacoast Warhawks semi-pro football team finished the regular season 5-0 as they beat the Boston Chargers 47-8 at Alumni Stadium in Sanford on Saturday, April 27.
Seacoast earned the No. 1 seed in the North Division of the East Coast Football League playoffs.
The Warhawks were led by quarterback Junior Brown, who threw three touchdown passes and ran in for another.
Brandon Bennett, Eric Harris, and DJ Satcher each ran in for touchdowns for Seacoast.
Gil tosses a complete game, but SHS baseball loses to Scarborough as SHS spring sports now in full swing
SHS senior Ben Gill pitched a complete game, allowing just two hits, but Sanford fell to Scarborough 3-0 on Saturday, April 27.
Gill hit a double and Beckett Barlow had a pair of singles for Sanford.
The girls’ tennis team moved to 3-1 on the season as they defeated Biddeford on Monday, April 29, while the boys’ tennis team picked up its first against Windham, 4-1, to move to 1-2.
