Sanford High School Baseball Team heading for a promising season: The Press Herald named Sanford High School’s baseball team one of the ten teams to watch in Southern Maine. The Spartans went 10-6 last spring to finish seventh in Class A South before losing to Kennebunk in the preliminary rounds. Sanford’s entire pitching staff returns from last year, including senior Ben Gill, who also hit .370 and was an SMAA first team pick.
