The First Annual Sanford Community Garden Picnic was well attended by gardeners, their friends and families, and Mousam Way Land Trust members and directors. They gathered to celebrate community spirit, and to recognize the Garden’s corporate sponsor, Kennebunk Savings Bank.
“Without Kennebunk Savings Bank’s generous, ongoing support, Sanford Community Garden would not exist today,” said Dr. Bud Johnston, President of Mousam Way Land Trust, with great applause from those attending. “This is all about community spirit, and Kennebunk Savings Bank is active in this and other surrounding communities as well. We are grateful to be recipients of their generosity.”
Rachel Peter, representing Kennebunk Savings Bank, said, “Kennebunk Savings Bank is happy to be a part of this community project and to be able to support such a worthwhile, ongoing effort.”
