The Sanford Police Association played the Court Jesters Comedy Basketball team in a fundraiser on December 4. Our team didn't win but had a great time and put on a fun community event.

Maine Attraction Water Ski Show Team has been nominated for Best Medium Team of the Year by The Ski Show Podcast. Members Lori and Pete Hegarty were also nominated for multiple individual awards. The winners will be announced in March at an event in Wisconsin.

On December 10, the board members of Sanford Unitarian Universalist Church (pictured below) packed up 30 bag lunches to be distributed to unhoused folks in the community. Each member contributed food and time to this effort. The lunches contained: home-roasted turkey sandwiches, apple sauce, homemade brownies, chips, sweet and salty trail mix, small bags of almonds, and juice boxes. This is the second year they have contributed in this way to our neighbors who are going through tough times.

Sanford Maine Stage is finishing up their four-show run of “Scrooge…With a Twist!” today. The cast and crew are pictured below getting ready to hit the stage.
