The First Baptist Church of Springvale will have its annual Lobster Bake on Saturday, August 6. They will have 1.25 lb lobster or 12 oz sirloin steak for $25 (additional lobsters $15 each), or 1/2 barbequed chicken for $17.50. Lots of sides, a dessert, and a beverage are included. For the little ones, choose a hamburger or hotdog for $6. There is still time to register for the second session of Youth Theater Summer Camp at Nasson Little Theatre. The two-week camp begins August 1. In week 1, campers will work on acting basics and improv games, and in week two, will rehearse and perform a play. The cost is $150 and payment plans are available. Sanford Christian Academy is having its annual open house on Thursday, August 4th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. so that prospective students, new students, and returning students can have a chance to check out the new classrooms, talk to new teachers, and begin anticipating everything that the year will have to offer! A uniform swap will also be available for all students who need new sizes.
There has been no update on missing Sanford residents Jill Sidebotham and her two-year-old daughter Lydia Hansen. The two left for a camping trip to the Phillips area June 27 with Lydia’s father, Nicholas Hansen, who is described as Jill’s ex-boyfriend. They were due to return home June 30, but have not returned or been in contact with family. All three were last seen July 2 at the Walmart in Mexico, Maine.
