Monday, January 17 is Martin Luther King Day. Schools, City offices and both libraries will be closed. Trash and recycling will be picked up as usual. The transfer station will be closed Tuesday, January 18.

Sanford Recreation has you covered with a great Vacation Camp planned for kids in grades PreK to 6. Southern Maine Health Care has welcomed Brittany Whitaker, DO, to the Sanford Primary Care office located in the Goodall Medical Office Building, 25A June St. Dr. Whitaker previously practiced as a family medicine resident at Samaritan Health Services, Corvallis, Oregon and is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Whitaker completed her medical degree at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Biddeford, Maine. Her clinical interests are rural medicine, international/travel and wilderness medicine, women’s health, research and medical education.
