If you are at least 70 years old, you may register to receive your Covid-19 vaccine in Sanford, by calling MaineHealth at (877) 780-7545. You do not need to be a MaineHealth patient to qualify. If you are under 70 years of age, you may pre-register at the same number.
At his press briefing on Tuesday, January 26, Dr. Nirav Shah of Maine CDC warned of telephone scams targeting seniors. MaineHealth will NOT ask for your social security number. If you are waiting for a call back from MaineHealth, the number they call from will be (877) 780-7545.
York Hospital is also offering Covid vaccinations at their Kittery location, but there is no pre-registration process, you have to register at the right time when they have some vaccine available. Currently, they expect to reopen registrations on their website, yorkhospital.com/vaccines/, on February 2 at noon.
