Take a photo at Sanford Farmers Market before the end of August and you can make yourself eligible to win a $100 gift certificate or a pair of day passes to Common Ground Country Fair Sept. 22-24.
The Maine Federation of Farmers’ Markets is holding weekly raffle drawings to raise awareness of Maine’s 115 summer farmers’ markets. Drawings of photo submissions are done every Monday through August 31. You can enter as often as you wish. To submit photos, click on photo contest
For inspiration, the market folks have listed a series of prompts: people with vegetables, your favorite farmer, market scenes, market culture, rainy day (markets are open rain or shine), non-edible finds (soaps, flowers, etc.) and “matchy matchy” (buy something that matches your outfit.)
To see the complete list of farmers’ markets across the state as well as those that accept SNAP and WIC, visit the Federation’s website.
