Dr. Morton Gold In Concert

September 18 @ 3:00 pm

Dr. Gold was Nasson College’s Professor of Music for eighteen years. During that period his piano concerto was performed by the Portland Symphony with Dr. Gold at the keyboard. He twice had the honor of conducting the Boston Pops Orchestra in performances of his own music. In 1975 his oratorio “Haggadah: A Search for Freedom” was broadcast nationally by Public Television.

This program will consist entirely of his own works. The featured composition will be his trumpet concerto, composed in 2019 and dedicated to David Etzler. Etzler, now professor of trumpet studies at Castleton College, will perform the concerto.

Seating is limited to 100. Reservations recommended.

Tickets may be reserved by e-mailing heastman@metrocast.net
Doors open 2:15 p.m.
