School Committee, 6:00 p.m., in-person at City Hall Chambers and online via Zoom. The agenda includes an update on the English Language Learners program, proposal for a Class of 2023 Senior trip to Europe, Safe Return to Schools update, and more.
Rory Gilmore Book Club, 6:00 p.m., in-person at Goodall Library and via Zoom. This month the discussion will be about What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? by Henry Farrell. All are welcome.

Site Plan Review Committee, 9:00 a.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes a proposal by Bauneg Beg LLC to construct a 5.5 MW solar facility off Sam Allen Rd. and Pinewood Dr., and final approval for the Central Park Residences project on School St.

Black History of Maine with Author Bob Greene, 6:00 p.m., Springvale Library, 443 Main St. Mr. Greene, who has done some of his research in Sanford and Springvale, will speak about some of our state’s hidden history. He teaches at the University of Southern Maine, and is the 2021 recipient of the Maine Historical Society’s Neal Allen Award, presented each year for exceptional contributions to Maine History.
Planning Board, 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes the two items from Tuesday’s Site Plan Review Committee meeting, and a public hearing on the Pepin Bernier Road Gravel Pit.

Friday, October 22
Music on the Patio with Big John Rachkoski, noon, Springvale Library. The musical master of rock & roll and the blues will wind up this year’s summer concert series.
