City Council, 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes public hearings on the following items: an ordinance change to maintain conformity with the National Electrical Code; proposed amendments to the ordinance on unlawful parking and impoundment; and a proposed zoning change for the Townhouse Solar project on Hanson Ridge Rd. There will also be a review of a draft policy on Covid-19 vaccination and testing, among other items.

Veterans Day. All schools, City offices, both libraries and the transfer station will be closed. Trash and recycling will be picked up as usual.
A Salute to Our Veterans in Song, 7:00 p.m., Nasson Little Theatre, 457 Main St., Springvale. Featuring music of the American Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict & the Vietnam War ending with remarks by Lt. Commander Thomas M Collins, USN, about our struggle with the Afghanistan War. All veterans who are able, are asked to wear their uniform, if not, wear the hat of their service group. Presented by Sanford Maine Stage. Donations accepted.

SCA Christmas Craft & Vendor Fair, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sanford Christian Academy, 47 High St. There will be a kids craft table, raffles, music and delicious food from the café. Free admission.
Fall Craft/Vendor Fair, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., VFW Post 9935 Banquet Hall, 1 Hutchinson St. There will be raffle and silent auction tables as well.
Buddy: The Buddy Holly Show, 3:00 p.m., Sanford Performing Arts Center, 100 Alumni Dr. National touring production featuring great ’50s rock ‘n roll music. Get tickets here.

Powderpuff Football Game, 11:00 a.m., Alumni Stadium, 100 Alumni Blvd. Come watch the juniors take on the seniors in this fun football tradition! The football players cheer on the girls as they take to the field. Gates open at 10:00 a.m.
$3 adults, $1 students. Great concessions available! All proceeds benefit Project Graduation 2022.
