Bingo, Sanford Elks Lodge, 13 Elm St. Doors open at 4:00 p.m., games begin at 6:00. Must be 18 to play.

Wednesday, December 1

York County Commissioners, 4:30 p.m., York County Government Building, 149 Jordan Springs Rd. Masks required. Zoom access also available. The agenda is here.

Planning Board, 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes the items from the previous day’s SPRC meeting, a presentation on the CGA site clean up and redevelopment, and more.

Friday, December 3

14th Annual Sanford Fire Department Food Drive, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Shaw’s Supermarket, Hannaford’s and Walmart. This drive is a primary support for the Sanford Food Pantry. Food and cash donations accepted.

Spree of Trees, 4:00-8:00 p.m., 911 Main St. (former home of Bergeron’s Shoes). Free admission, hot coffee and hot chocolate and cookies. A forest of fabulous Christmas trees being raffled off along with all their gifts, to benefit the Sanford Alumni Association.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, 5:00-7:00 p.m., New Beginnings Christian Church, 181 Grammar Rd. Meatballs, bread, salad and dessert. $8 per person, kids under 6 eat free. To benefit Operation Ray of Light, supporting our local veterans and their families.

Holly Daze Parade, 5:30 p.m. Main St. from York St. to the Midtown Mall. Rain, snow or shine! Followed by the Lighting of the Christmas tree at Central Park by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Saturday, December 4

Kandy Kane Fair, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Pleasant St. Free Baptist Church, 10 Pleasant St., Springvale. Breakfast, desserts, crafts and Christmas goods for sale.

14th Annual Sanford Fire Department Food Drive continues, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hannaford, 11:00 to 6:00 at Shaw’s and Walmart.

Holiday Pops by the Strafford Wind Symphony, 7:00 p.m., Sanford Performing Arts Center, 100 Alumni Blvd. Enjoy a sparkling parade of favorite holiday songs the whole family will love, including Charlie Brown Christmas, Nutcracker Suite, Grown-up Christmas, A Hanukkah Festival, and more! You’ll feel the wonder of the season with a dramatic reading of Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus. No holiday pops show would be complete without the traditional sing-along, so be ready when it’s your turn! Tickets $9-$14, purchase here.

Sanford Police Association Charity Basketball Game, 7:00 p.m., Memorial Gym, 678 Main St. The Sanford Police Association All-Stars vs. the Court Jesters. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., tickets $10 adults, $5 students, 12 and under free. Proceeds benefit the Sanford Police Association.

Sunday, December 5

Sanford Elks Memorial Service, 1:00 p.m., 13 Elm St. To remember Elks who have passed away during the previous year. Light luncheon to follow. All are welcome.
