Monday, November 28
Special York County Commissioners Meeting, 8:00 am via Zoom. The agenda includes the purchase of eight patrol vehicles (seven for County patrol and one for Waterboro contract deputy).
Stuff Yourself With Books, Arts & More, through December 3, Springvale Library, 443 Main St. Time to do a little Christmas shopping! Come support the library while picking up some books, art, jewelry, penny rugs, stocking stuffers, crafts and more for all on your holiday list. This sale will be held in the Community Room during regular Library hours.
Red Cross Blood Drive, noon – 5:00 pm, North Parish Church, 893 Main St.
Tuesday, November 29
Bingo, Sanford Elks Lodge, 13 Elm St. Doors open at 4:00 pm and games start at 6:00. Must be 18 to play.
Wednesday, November 30
Friends of Downtown, 4:30 pm, location TBA
Thursday, December 1
4th Annual Spree of Trees, 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Veterans Memorial Gym Cafeteria (lower level), 678 Main St. There are over 100 trees this year, plus 9 craft vendors! Free admission and free refreshments. Stroll through the decorated trees and take a chance on your favorites. If you can’t make it in person, you can also purchase raffle tickets for the tree(s) of your choice online at http://www.sanfordalumniassociation.org/spree-of-trees.html. This event supports the work of the Sanford Alumni Association.

Friday, December 2
4th Annual Spree of Trees continues, 4:00 – 8:00 pm, Veterans Memorial Gym, 678 Main St.
Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, 5:00 – 7:00 pm, New Beginnings Christian Church, 181 Grammar Rd.
Holly Daze Parade and Tree Lighting, 5:30 pm, downtown Sanford. The parade will begin at the intersection of Emery St. and Main St. and end at the Midtown Mall/Main St. Marketplace. The area around Central Park will be closed to traffic after the parade passes until shortly after the Tree Lighting, which will happen between 6:00 and 6:15 pm with the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus.
NYT Presents The Wizard of Oz, 7:00 pm, Nasson Little Theatre, 457 Main St. This beloved tale, in which a Kansas farm girl travels over the rainbow to discover the magical power of home, has entertained audiences for generations. Celebrate the talents of our local youth by attending one of the five performances this weekend and next. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online here.

Saturday, December 3
Trafton Center Christmas Fair, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, 19 Elm St. Crafts, raffles and bake sale.
4th Annual Spree of Trees continues, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Veterans Memorial Gym, 678 Main St.
Christmas Market and Yard Sale, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm, Ferment Farm, 406 Hanson Ridge Rd., Springvale. Buy from local artisans. Crafts, dried flowers, Christmas cookies and warm drinks, artwork, Maine wreaths, unique gently used items and more for sale. Bad weather date: December 10.
Holiday Pops! with the Strafford Wind Symphony, 7:00 pm, Sanford Performing Arts Center, 100 Alumni Blvd. You’ll feel the wonder of the season with this sparkling parade of favorite holiday songs the whole family will love! The 55-member Strafford Wind Symphony has earned a reputation of excellence in Southern Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire. The ensemble delivers sensational music with a professional flair. Tickets $10-$15, purchase online here.

4th Annual Spree of Trees continues, 9:00 am – noon, Veterans Memorial Gym, 678 Main St.
Christmoose With the Mainers, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, 917 Main St. Come on down to the team’s front office for professional photos with Broose and Boomer!
Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, 4:00 pm, Amvets Post #3, 169 School St. $10 per person, cash only. All donations go to veterans in need during the holiday season.
Carols, Cookies & Cocoa, 6:00 pm, Pleasant St. First Baptist Church, 10 Pleasant St., Springvale. All are welcome!
