Tuesday, June 1
Site Plan Review Committee, 9:00 a.m. via Zoom. New business on the agenda includes two 3-story apartment buildings proposed for 12 Roberts St., and a new five-year mineral extraction permit for a pit located between Berner Rd. and Route 4. There are several items of old business on the agenda as well.
City Council, 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes confirmation of the Findings and Orders from the dangerous building hearings held at the last meeting, acceptance of the bid for the Westside Village reconstruction project, and several items that were forwarded from last week’s Subcommittee meetings.
Wednesday, June 2
Planning Board, 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes the proposed expansion of Springvale Safe Storage on River St., new safety signage for Aroma’s Joe’s on Jagger Mill Rd., plus the items reviewed at Tuesday’s Site Plan Review Committee meeting.
Sanford Community Adult Education Classes of 2020 and 2021 Graduation, 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, June 3
Rotary Scholarship Awards Breakfast, 7:30 a.m. at Nasson Little Theater. Scholarships will be presented to the seven winners.
Friday, Jun 4
Sanford Mainers Opening Day at Goodall Park. Watch the Mainers beat the Winnipesaukee Muskrats. Gates open at 5:30, game begins at 6:30. Tickets are $7 for general admission, $5 for seniors 60+, kids 12 and under, and military personnel.
Saturday, June 5
12th Annual Arnie’s Ride to benefit the Maine Children’s Cancer Program, bikes or cars, registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Sanford Elks Lodge on Elm St. More info here.
