City Council, 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes public hearings on the proposed Parking Ticket Enforcement ordinance, Midtown Mall Development District and Midtown Mall Maintenance Assessment; action on the municipal budget for fiscal year 2022-23; discussion of the Council’s remote meeting policy; and other items.

Wednesday, May 4

York County Regional Virtual Hiring Event, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., co-hosted by the Sanford-Springvale Chamber of Commerce and the York County Career Center. Job seekers may register here.

York County Commissioners, 4:30 p.m., York County Government Building, 149 Jordan Springs Rd., Alfred, and via Zoom. The agenda includes a report on the audit of last year’s county budget, the forfeiture request by the Sheriff’s office, ARPA federal expenditure report, and other items.

Grade 5-6 Spring Band and Chorus Concert, 7:00 p.m., Sanford Performing Arts Center, 100 Alumni Blvd.

Friday, May 6

Spaghetti Dinner, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., New Beginnings Christian Church, 181 Grammar Rd. Fundraiser for the Center for Grieving Children. $8 per plate includes spaghetti, salad, bread, drink and dessert. Kids 6 and under eat free. Eat in or take out.

Saturday, May 7

8th Annual Stepping Out for Seniors, 8:00 a.m., beginning at the Trafton Center, 19 Elm St. This walk helps support the vital programming of the Trafton Center.
