Goodall Library Fundraiser, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Smitty’s Cinema. Stop by the Library first to pick up your fundraiser card, present it when you purchase your tickets, and the Library will get 50% of the ticket price.

School Committee, 6:00 p.m., Sanford High School Room A228 and via Zoom. The agenda includes updates on summer school, Legacy naming rights, and discussion of the SHS/SRTC Scheduling Subcommittee.

Tuesday, June 22

Municipal Operations and Property Subcommittee, 8:30 a.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes a presentation on the Mousam Promenade parking study, discussion of the upkeep of Soldiers and Sailors Park, and security lighting at Goodall Park.

Public Safety Subcommittee, 11:00 a.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes discussion of possible changes to the city’s parking ordinance, discussion of the false alarm ordinance, and an update on the Licensed Clinical Social Worker implementation within the Police Department.

Zoning Subcommittee, 1:00 p.m. via Zoom. The agenda includes a discussion of Planning Department resources, and an update from the Mineral Extraction Working Group.

SHS Music Boosters Fundraiser, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Congdon’s After Dark, 1100 Post Rd., Wells. The Music Boosters will receive 10% of the evening’s sales.

City Council Special Meeting, 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. Discussion and vote on the 2021/2022 municipal budget.

10th Annual Grahamtastic Connection Day at the Sanford Mainers game, 6:30 p.m., Goodall Park. Partners Bank will donate $100 for each home run.

Concert in the Park, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Gateway Park, 11 Riverside Ave. Randy and Brad will entertain. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and a picnic supper!

Wednesday, June 23

York County Commissioners, 10:00 a.m., former Marshall’s store at Center for Shopping, 1364 Main St. Public hearing to solicit feedback and thoughts on the uses for funding allocated to York County Government under the American Rescue Plan Act. Masks required regardless of vaccination status.

Thursday, June 24

Sanford Backpack Program Food Distribution, 3:30-5: 30 p.m., Willard School, Breary Farms and Eastside Acres. Open to all Sanford/Springvale residents.

Saturday, June 26

Shoreline Explorer season begins. Take the Orange Line bus from the School St. parking lot, Marden’s or the Center for Shopping to Wells, then catch a connecting bus to Kennebunkport, Ogunquit or York. More info at shorelineexplorer.com. It’s fare-free all summer!
