Tuesday, July 6

Transfer station closed.

School Issued Technology Pick Up, 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. (also on Wednesday and Thursday), at your child’s school. Registration required.

City Council, 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. Among other items, the agenda includes authorization of a contract to extend Presidential Lane at the Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport; approval of the False Alarms ordinance; and an amendment to the Council’s Rules and Order of Business to allow one City Councilor to substitute for another at Subcommittee meetings.

Military Appreciation Day at the Sanford Mainers game, Goodall Park. Free admission to veterans and military personnel. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., recognition of veterans at 6:00, game starts at 6:30.

Wednesday, July 7

Planning Board, 6:30 p.m. The agenda includes three items of old business that were previously tabled, plus the Planning Director’s report.

Thursday, July 8

The Science of Ice Cream: a STEM event. 2:00 p.m., outdoors and in person at the Goodall Library. Recommended for ages 6-14. Registration required, call 324-4714 or message them on Facebook to reserve your spot.

Sanford Backpack Program Free Food Distribution, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. at Willard School, Breary Farms and East Side Acres. Open to all Sanford/Springvale residents.

Garden to Forest Tour, 10:00 a.m. Meet at the Sanford Community Garden on Blanchard Rd., and walk through the McKeon Reserve to the Sanford Community Forest. There will be a short presentation and refreshments. More info here.
