Tuesday, August 17

Site Plan Review Committee, 9:00 a.m., City Council Chambers, 919 Main St. (see note below). The agenda includes three items of new business: a proposal to construct a 24-unit apartment building at 14 #1 Country Club Rd.; a proposal for a bulk fuel transfer facility at 4 Cyro Rd.; and a plan to partially convert the first floor of the Sanford Mill building at 61 Washington St. into seven residential units. There are also two items of old business which may or may not be discussed.

City Council, 6:00 p.m., City Council Chambers, 919 Main St. (see note below). The agenda includes public hearings for two new marijuana grower cultivator licenses and a liquor license; reconsideration of amendments to the Council’s Rules of Procedure regarding Covid protocols; a proposal to fund two new firefighter positions using available resources within the existing budget; and other items.

Wednesday, August 18

School Committee Workshop, 11:00 a.m. SHS Cafeteria, 100 Alumni Blvd. The only agenda item is goal setting for 2021/2022. This will be in-person only, with no Zoom or other virtual access.

Springvale Library Summer Reading Program Party, 2:30 p.m., 443 Main St. Legacy Lane Farm petting zoo and ice cream social. More info here.
