The Goodall Library has brand new snow sleds that can be checked out for a week at a time. Choose a kids' downhill sled or a flying saucer. The Library also has jigsaw puzzles to check out. Missing Pickleball? Give line dancing a try!  Sanford Parks and Recreation Coordinator, Lori Hegarty, will be leading senior line dancing at City Hall in the Old Theatre on Floor 2R.  Park in the rear Parking Lot or side street.  Dance from 10:30-11:30 Wednesday mornings.  Cost is just $2 each week you participate - pay supervisor on duty.  Plenty of room for social distancing.  Masks are required. If Lori is on vacation, there will be no dance that week. The Maine Principals' Association has decided that schools in counties designated yellow may now begin holding sports practices and games, and other activities. York County has been designated yellow for over a month. Schools have been closed for two weeks due to Covid outbreaks, but are expected to reopen Monday, January 25. Staff and clients of Waban Projects got their first Covid-19 vaccinations this past week. Sanford Middle School report cards will be issued January 22. SMS also reminds parents that there are dozens of school photos awaiting pickup.
