A children’s book author from Lebanon is holding a book reading and signing on Jan. 27 from 10 to 11 am at Sanford Community Adult Education.
Ashlee Ridlon has written a handful of children’s books, including Bad Butter and Mad Max, both about cats. She is holding the book signing to promote childhood literacy and to get her name out, she said.
“Every child and family who comes is going to get a free copy of Bad Butter,” she said.
Ridlon is a former kindergarten teacher who now works as a long-term substitute teacher, so she has time to devote to writing.
“I’m just starting out, but so far so good,” she said. She’s sold books at craft fairs and on Amazon.
Her author’s page can be found here.
