Sanford Parks and Recreation has announced that registration is now open for Vacation Camp. Vacation camp will take place at Memorial Gym and you may register for the week of August 10 and/or the week of August 17. Cost is just $100 per week.
Activities may include music, movies, individual crafts, theatre, cheer leading, dancing, environment (including walks and hikes), magic, story hours, canoe/kayaking (age dependent), a variety of interesting educational activities, as well as swimming for all age campers. Staff to camper ratio is 1/8. Staff range in age 15-25 yrs old. Children must be potty trained. The Staff is not trained for working with children with highly social, emotional, and behavioral needs including children affected by autism spectrum disorders.
State guidelines for summer camp will still be in place. When social distancing cannot be adhered to, all campers must wear masks. Parents must provide a mask for their child. Tuesdays and Fridays will take place at Springvale Rec area so our campers can enjoy some swim time!
