The Goodall Library kicked off its 100 Book Reading Challenge this week. Any time between now and the end of the school year, kids & teens can start the challenge and try to read a total of 100 books. Logs will be available to pick up at the library or download from home. Whenever a book is finished, simply color in a square on the log. When you reach 100, let the library know and they will order you a new book or DVD of your choice as a prize. But it gets even better. Every book you read that’s checked out from the library counts as 2 books, and every book you read that’s required by a teacher for school counts as 3 books.

The Goodall Library has also announced that all Sanford School District employees can get a free library card, whether they reside in Sanford/Springvale or elsewhere. The usual fee for nonresidents will be waived. Check out a book or movie for your class, or just for yourself!
