Arline “Linda” Lizotte, a 1967 Sanford High School graduate,  passed away February 5 at the age of 74 after a long battle with dementia. Jason “Jay” Smith, 37, of Saco passed away on February 5 after a brief illness.  Jay grew up in Sanford and graduated from Sanford High School, where was captain of the football and baseball teams his senior year. Frances Boivin Sheltra, 93, of Springvale passed away on February 5 at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford. Frances grew up in Sanford and attended the local Catholic schools, graduating from St. Ignatius High School in 1947. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, February 10 at Holy Family Church.  Interment followed at the Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Springvale.

Diana Joyner, a 1966 graduate of Sanford High School, passed away at the age of 74 on January 23 after a battle with cancer.  Read her obituary here: https://conroytullywalker.com/obituaries/diana-joyner. Edna A. Day, 79, of Sanford passed away on February 7 at Gosnell Home in Scarborough. Read her obituary here: https://blackfuneralhomes.com/obituaries/edna-day Visitation will be held at Sanford First Baptist Church from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm. At a later date, Edna’s cremated remains will be buried in the Morrison Family plot in Bangor. Donations in Edna’s memory may be made to the Sanford First Baptist Church, 905 Main Street, Sanford, Maine 04073 or to The Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Rd, Scarborough, ME 04074.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 15th at Holy Family Church.  Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
